It’s 1pm and I am rushing in the Parisian traffic to join my Friend in a restaurant he chose for us.
I was far from the idea that I was invited to experience a powerful culinary tasting.
Arrived to destination, I found myself getting into what I saw as a modest destination, with its contemporary / minimalistic Asian look.
I immediately saw him seating among the other 15 other clients. The restaurant is packed and I guess it tells you how small is it!
After a little chatting with my friend, The waiter came and asked us kindly, if we wanted to pair our food with wine or tea. It didn’t take my healthy mood a lot of time to tell him tea, probably because I did not feel like starting my wine that early, as I still had few inspiring meetings to go.
I was still far from expecting the culinary power of this place, as well as the relevance of each tea they paired our food with.
After checking the menu, we were left with two options, the 3 course tasting menu, or the complete 6 courses one.
Once we chose the second option, we were set with choices for the rest of our stay at yam’Tcha and for the following hour and a half, the chef Adeline Grattard, a very passionate woman with whom I had the chance to have a little chatting, and connected my team with for an empowering interview that was shared to empower the wonderful Mayshad Audience, has lifted us to a fantastic emotional tasting, where each bite, was an explosion of unusual flavors, perfectly paired with Asian tea aromas that just brought more sense to the dish.
While writing those words, I feel myself being back to this unforgettable experience, having the taste of the yummy Asian dishes, hearing the background smooth noise of the restaurant, and smelling the extraordinary tea sense…
After this Experience, Yam’Tcha is definitely one of my “to re-experience” places I stop at during my every stay in Paris.
