I spent my entire childhood and teenage years in the beautiful city of Casablanca, Morocco. 13 years ago, my parents offered my sister and I greater opportunities, and relocated us to the multicultural city of Montreal.
IT’S INSPIRED FROM THE TIME OF GYSPSIES, BOHEMIANISM, AND NOMADS BACK IN EARLY 19TH CENTURY. DISTINGUSHED BY THE NON-BOURGEOIS AND EFFORTLESS ASPECT TO IT, YET WOMEN LOOK EXTREMELY SEXY AND POLISHED. (It comes in vibrant colors and neutrals, head scarves, big jewelries all over the body, very flowy fabrics, and playful hair do’s). This style continues to trend all over the world especially in this era; mostly Worn in festivals, parties, weddings, beaches and on those chilling days that we all love. I have chosen 4 looks to represent what I call the BOHO CHIC STYLE.
The western girl: we have beautiful pieces for an extra embellishment, this shoulder dress is very rich in colors and prints.
Also, there is a twisty inspiration coming from a western feel: the brown hat and belt are adding more character to the whole look.
Outfit can be worn with confidence at any given occasion. When take it to the next level: adding a blazer on top and can be work attire approved with the perfect mules or sandals.
The lost traveler: this is real representation of Nomadic, unconventional living. Wearing a flowy Indian inspired caftan. No rules are applied to pull it off. Many accessories from head to toe, and the colors that makes the dress catchy to anyone passing, looking cute and bubbly.
An endless romantic: fresh and girly, wearing a nontraditional beaded wedding dress, where body is exposed gently. This white color is very tamed and discreet, yet very sexy and revealing by the sheerness of the fabric. This look is very suitable for outdoors weddings, or for a fancy bridesmaid party.
The working hippie: this look blends effortlessly as a work attire on a casual Friday, for any other occasion such as a beautiful summery dinner dates, outdoors parties. Could be my signature look, combining simplicity and elegance; this silky Kimono, black tee and the skinny black jeans.
