I am a person who loves to always keep herself busy, whether by traveling, cooking or sharing activities with my kids. But one important activity I love, is Volunteering; because it makes a great impact on our Mind and Soul and on the community. It makes a difference no matter how little is done. As Ghandi said “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”.
Volunteering helped me in many ways and taught me many things that I would Love to share with you.
- Helping Others
Volunteering is very important because it helps you make an impact into someone’s life; it allows you to brighten their day and give them a smile! It is a great way for you to give back.
- Good For health
Believe it or not, volunteering has a great positive effect on your health as it reduces stress and brings happiness and joy.
- Increase social skills
Volunteering is a great way to either make new friendships as you will meet up with people who share the same interest as you do, or to strengthen existing ones by sharing an activity together.
- Gaining new experiences
If you volunteer you will be able to learn things school did not teach you, as you will be facing new situations and environments.
You know you’re a good volunteer when you forget you’re volunteering to help change lives, because it’s changing yours.
