For anyone who has never heard of Thomas Clipper, it is a men’s luxury shaving, grooming and cologne store. Matt and Antonio founded it in the year of 2014. Their objective at the time was to bring a more inspiring morning to men all over the world. Today through British design, world-class craftsmanship, and careful sourcing, we can confidently say that they have succeeded in reaching that objective since they are now expanding all over the world.
They initially started in the Great British Countryside with a common goal: to create the perfect shave. Therefore, the simple question was how?
That led to thinking in a logical manner, figuring out what kind of blade was mostly used by both individuals and barbers. So, they started with a classic double edge razor.
After that, they formulated a British-made organic frankincense shaving oil which was clinically proven to reduce razor rashes in order to ensure quality to their future potential customers.
They also created an organic hot cotton flannel usually used before one shaves in order to help prepare their whiskers for the perfect minimalist shave.
Furthermore, after getting feedback from their audience, they requested an all natural classic brush, bowl, and soap. As a result, they started by creating their Juniper-scented shave soap which is all natural and designed to work on top of their oil to give a smooth, soft and satisfying shave. Then, they designed both an excellent shave brush and lathering bowl. Each brush had custom designed synthetic bristles; while each bowl had the GPS coordinates engraved of where the tree grew 300 years ago, aiming to give a meaning of place to their customers ‘potential morning shaves.
Shortly after Thomas Clipper’s customers voted the Tuscan Wash Bag as their third crowdfunding project. Consequently, they created the perfect travel companion crafted in vegetable-tanned leather, handmade in Florence.
After two years time, Thomas Clipper became a successful business shipping all over the world.
Actually, one of their most recent crowdfunding campaigns was for a completely unique product. The first premium men’s cologne collection consisting of three different scents: City, Cost, and Country. These scents were specially designed to be blended by the customer, therefore giving a unique smell depending on the user.
All in all, their story is only yet commencing. In the process of creating their products, they have reached their objectives and plan on working tirelessly to keep introducing new products designed to bring their audience a fantastic morning, as well as a unique story, like in all of their existing products.
