With the evolution of consciousness, survival is more that of the wisest than the fittest. To be wise is to be conscious and mindful. It is no longer individual survival, but the survival of the planet; the survival of all beings is at stake.
We ensure survival today by becoming more conscious of our interconnectedness, our interdependence, and our interrelationships. With our eyes and our heart open to all that is, we become bathed in the light of consciousness. With positive energy surrounding us, with the light of wisdom guiding us from within, we live for each other. We love, we care, and we share. All work, small or large, creates the opportunity to succeed in the highest sense: in the growth of consciousness, in creating a stable mind, and in expanding the harmony of our peaceful coexistence.
Change Comes from Within
We all have a tendency to think that change means that we need to change our outer environment, like our workplace or relationships, in order to be happier in life. However, life flows from inside out. Therefore we need to change our inner environment first. The outer is but the manifestation of the inner.
We might think that if we leave our job everything will be better. However, changing positions or relationships might gain us nothing at all. There is no guarantee that our next workplace or relationship will be any better. The most important thing is to search deep within our hearts to discover the source of what is going wrong.
Our first task is to discover why we are so frustrated. Are we being singled out and given harsh treatment? If the answer is yes, then we need to know why. There is a cause and effect chain in operation in the Universe. Inquiring deeply into it in our current circumstance and learning how to work creatively to rise above the negativity is the pathway to true freedom, strength, and wisdom.
This approach works miracles again and again. We forget that we continually trigger the negative within our own mind from our preconceived notions and expectations. Also, We ourselves may be suffering from reactivity and myopia. We need to check the glasses through which we see before trying to change the world around us.
Try to change to a more positive environment within and see what magic flows from that practice.
Positive Thoughts for Self Management
We cannot transform negativity with negativity. When we are reactive, we are already angry. With anger and negativity, we cannot trigger positive energy in others. Try to understand the cause of the other person’s negative behavior. If we approach the situation with acceptance, openness and appreciation, then we can help those who are negative to see the value of being more positive.
We don’t always have to discuss our concerns then and there. Wait for the right time. A friendlier situation might allow us to raise the issue and address the cause with more ease and harmony. Rather than imposing, wherever possible, create an energy field more conducive to a negative person being able to be open to the positive.
Ego clashes in the workplace can become open and reactive if the culture is not one of tolerance and perseverance. We can always be a positive trendsetter and try to be positive in the midst of the negative. Also, we relax, do our part, keep our heart open to the universe and allow the egos to play out their games. We do not have to get caught up in them.
As you sincerely practice quiet time with yourself, just sitting quietly in nature, or at the energetic corner of your own home, or even at your work desk, you grow from within a deep sense of appreciation of the infinite gifts that you are showered with. Your heart center opens, that is the seat of universal consciousness in the temple of your body-mind. As you have that higher energy playing through you, you become a kind of a moving temple of positive light for many others, who are struggling with their own emotional battles. You show them light without giving them sermons, for no light is worthy of its name, till it shines forth from within the center of your being, your Heart. You become a true leader, leading by being the change that you and others are hoping to see in this troubled world.
Office or home, it is your energy that is important. The energy generated by your thoughts and beliefs, out of your attitude and body language, out of the light that you exude when you are at home or at work place, that is what matters. Practice mindfulness, practice meditation, practice gratitude, practice letting go, and relax and breathe and be happy, so that you are the moving light of love and harmony. Think–what better contribution can you give this world, which seems to grope in the darkness of collective unconsciousness? Arise to your spiritual inheritance, and assert your light and be the beacon for many others while you are at ease with yourself.
