I personally know that having blackheads is never fun, and it definitely doesn’t compliment my complexion. I am fully aware that going and getting a professional facial might get rid of those pesky blackheads but they still always find their way to sneak back on to my face. And sometimes, I don’t have the time to go get a facial, so of course I concocted my own ways to get rid of them and I found them so helpful that I feel it would be criminal not to share with you!
1- Apple Cider Vinegar
The first and most helpful one to me personally and anyone suffering from an oily T zone is using apple cider vinegar as a daily toner. The natural acidic agents found in apple cider vinegar actually break down all the debris accumulated in the pores throughout the day, and I personally can vouch that this didn’t only rid my skin of black heads but provided me with smoother skin.
2- Baking Soda
An honorable mention would have to be baking soda. Not only was I able to use it as is; mixed with a little bit of water as a paste to problem areas, but I was also able to find another use for it: a daily exfoliant. Baking soda comes in powder form and when applied to the face after a splash of water I found it to be even better than my daily exfoliant since baking soda balanced the HP on my face, rendering it more neutral and less likely to develop blackheads.
3- Fenugreek Leaves
Finally, for the piece de resistance: fenugreek leaves. These babies have saved my skin many times, especially before a special event, they are quick and efficient; every busy woman’s dream. They are however a bit of work since you need to get the leaves and crush them in to a paste that you can apply as a mask for 15 minutes or simply as a cleanser. I use this remedy everyday as a cleanser too, following it up with the apple cider vinegar home made toner. The trick here is to get the freshest leaves as I found them to be the richest in benefits and most soothing for myself and anyone with sensitive skin.
I hope you try these homemade tricks out, I can guarantee a huge amelioration with any blemishes that pester you on your face. I vouch for all of them and would personally never recommend something unless I have tried it and found it to be actually helpful.
