Motivational Influencer and a Life Advocate with unshakable Faith. My commitment to see you thrive ignites my purpose to illuminate your journey beyond past or present obstacles in life. You are meant to succeed.
Sometimes in our greatest achievements, we can feel least adequate for the job.
We can find ourselves feeling lost as to how we have been endowed with a position of affluence.
In times like these, we can feel unworthy knowing so many other great women before us may not have had the opportunities to, “sit at the table,” so guilt can riddle us into self-sabotage.
As I reflect on my journey up until this point, I say to myself, “Only You God.” There were many times I sat in deliberations, negotiations and board meetings feeling like I was the least qualified to be there. On many occasions, sitting in the big meeting rooms with the “bigwigs,” often intimidated me but they never stopped me from sitting in a seat at the table I knew was prepared for me.
Understand Your Purpose
I recognized early on that I was supposed to make a difference and to help people who grew up in less favorable circumstances just as I did. I knew that if I was going to fulfill that portion of my life’s assignment, I had to put myself in environments with people who were already walking on the path I was destined for, even when I thought I wasn’t qualified to be there yet. My purpose in life had to be greater than what I thought about myself during those times.
I eventually understood that being qualified for success had more do to with the quality of my character than the quantity of my accomplishments.
Embrace Your Individuality
While I was called to serve others in the area of business and personal development and global change; your calling may be at the table of the United Nations to help stimulate economic development or change governmental policies; or, maybe your seat is to write poems to heal the souls of the wounded or to make someone smile who’s plagued with depression.
Celebrate the Visionary in You!
The good visions and imaginations you have about yourself and your life aren’t just visions or daydreams. They are God’s way of illuminating the path to your destiny and providing the roadmap to exactly where you are supposed to travel in life. Don’t allow those visions to just manifest themselves in your imagination when you should be taking a step toward them. Don’t say, “Those things will never happen for me, they are too big.” God wouldn’t allow you to have those visions and thoughts about yourself if you weren’t going to be able to fulfill them.
Success is Not About Bed Full of Roses
I want to be very honest with you, sitting at the table is not always easy. I had to force myself at times into meetings and boardrooms despite not having all the credentials and the years of experience that everyone else had. I am reminded of the scripture that says, “To whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48). So, in the midst of all the obstacles, the hurdles, the lack of faith and self-doubt, you still deserve to be seated at the table because you are called to.
Your position of prominence will serve the greater good of humanity. Your affluence will offer the positive impact our world needs daily! If you don’t take the seat where you belong; someone’s life will go unimpacted, the world will never change and your own faith will never grow. You will find yourself wallowing in regret and unfulfillment because of the chance you didn’t give yourself the space to take.
Own Your Power!
I urge you to take your seat, no matter what you feel about yourself or how much you think you don’t belong there. Take your seat and don’t undermine your own power and value of being there. Know that your position to prominence will grow you, develop you and prune you for great vision and manifestation of your purpose. Pull up a chair, sit confidently and assuredly and trust your place at the table.
