The ultimate goal is to paint our life with the brush of colors that are genuine and life-positive. Every change that is sustainable comes from the core of our being, our heart center. The motivation, the trigger, can come from outside, but nothing happens till the commitment comes as a whisper from our inner self. Only then we can start to put our heart and soul together to achieve what we set as our goal. Those whom we see as progressing in the path of life have realized that by blaming others or being jealous they only hurt their hearts and suffer miseries. Whereas accepting life as it is, and moving on the path with love and empathy, appreciation, and gratitude, we open vistas of life that are serene and blissful.
Most people don’t understand that unless the habitual subconscious program of our brain changes, not much shifts in order for us to see good days. We keep repeating the same stuff every day, and deepen our unconscious way of life. Meditation gives us awareness of the patterns of thoughts and emotions that bring unhappiness to our life, and only through awareness can we rise above this mechanical repetition. As we seek to paint a positive life, we come to realize that the mind has no color of its own. But it gets tinted with any color it identifies with, be it pain or pleasure. Meditation gives the mind the power to break away from its self-created pains and suffering, and lift us to the world of unconditional love and peace.
Our brains automatically take us to our past, making us think about the negative, and pushing us into worries and tensions about the future. This happens because neurons that fire together, wire together. This means that whatever thought, action and feeling we repeat many times becomes a subconscious program or habitual pattern. Just as we don’t think to breathe, so also repeating the past and feeling the pain is mechanical. But when we are the witness to our thoughts, actions and feelings, they will change to bring all happiness to our life.
The most powerful mantra that one can have in life is this: “Whatever the external situations, always be cheerful.” Negative situations become more powerful with the control we transfer from our self to the situations by resisting, reacting and fighting against them. If we instead take a deep breath and say, “I know this is a trick of the mind, I am not ready to give away my power to intensify my suffering. I stand a witness to the situation and I know this too shall pass.” Here lies the truth to painting a happy life; the realization that situations come and situations change, but our goal is to remain the unaffected witness.
When we practice meditation, not for pleasure of recognition and respect from others, and develop over time a non-attachment to praise and insults, we grow in the light of our intuitive mind. That evolution brings us closer to the reality hidden behind the material cluster of the objective world. This is the true path of enlightened consciousness.
Through regular practice of deep inner contemplation and meditation we develop a higher level of energy and vibration that will positively affect everyone we meet or live with. This is the most important thing we need to realize, that until our energy and vibration are changed, we cannot expect to see miracles around us. If we can be consistent in our practice for six months we can expect to see some tangible change in our behavior and overall responses leading to inner quiet and happiness of a different quality.
Limiting self-belief is counter to growth. We are born with our exclusive qualities. The more we trust that the Universe listens to us, the more we can change our inner conversations and start believing that we can make ourselves happy and live our own higher goals. Let not the past cripple us nor the future scare us; it is our positive thoughts and self-beliefs that can change everything in our life. The global research on the brain shows that we can train our brain with our mind. Those who are born to win will always visualize the coveted goal of life, the dreams and aspirations, as sure to happen. And they do happen, for the Universe only waits to say “Amen” when we affirm with conviction what we cherish to attain or achieve in life.
Let us never forget that each one of us is born for a purpose, and to be conscious and aware of our purpose and goal in life. Having the will to work hard to achieve our purpose is all that makes a difference between those who are beacons of humanity and those who just vegetate in this world. We are born to achieve whatever we set our eyes on. Now we must sharpen our attention, and with patience and perseverance keep painting with colors of positivity the grand canvas of our life so that we can leave a mark on this blue planet.
We need to just remember to be genuine, to not imitate anyone, and try to not be like anyone else. We walk our own path, we choose the colors of our life, and open our heart center by making sure we have touched at least one heart every day and received his or her blessings. We are the Witness of our life and the Painters of our own destiny!
