‘Each of us has experienced a sense of possibility - moments where we imagine things as they could be, and yet we hold back. Concerned with circumstance, what others might think, or lack of interest; we don't act on our vision. Express yourself fully, make a difference, be a leader.’
Money relationship, how you save it? Spend it? Use it to make decisions? What is money to you?
First, Early in my career I assumed that people didn’t make prudent decisions about their financial well being. Because of a lack of financial knowledge or money relationship, Wise decisions are hard to take.
Later, I studied and learned there are deeper underlying reasons how we behave, react, use money.
Therefore, Our emotional money relationship dictates our financial behavior.
Because thoughts, Feelings, Attitudes and related behavioral patterns recorded from childhood from outside sources affect our Behavior.
For instance, primarily our parents and/or those with whom we spent considerable time in close proximity, direct our lives.
And we subconsciously live the ‘standards’ set by these authority figures.
Our lives are filled with “messages” about issues like Religion, Money etc…
They give us these ‘guidelines’ in the form of directives, phrase and actions. When we Repeat them regularly they are embedded in our subconscious.
What are your childhood messages about money? Because, they are affecting you even today!
What was your family atmosphere in your childhood? Was it of abundance or scarcity? Did your parents have positive talk about money, ways to make it, save it, earn it enjoy it?
Do they encourage us to share, donate to charity and be in gratitude?
Did dad take all big financial decisions? Also, did mom always ask his permission to buy things, go out?
Is she hiding expensive purchases and reveal them later? And go into a long justification?
Bring out your inner money ‘beliefs’! Decide which ones to keep and which to discard!
