I started liking Dubai after my third visit. And after my fifth visit, I can say that it is an international hub for business and a key platform to any outreach in the region.
With so many areas to explore, Dubai boast great diversity in sites. Trying to capture and describe the fabulous range of dining establishments. And leisure places would not do justice to the city that offers so much.
Like the extensive choices of attractions, the city itself covers great mileage. With the considerable distance between destinations and traffic, I spent most of the time in the back of Uber cars and taxis.
Hands-down, my favorite area is downtown.
I will share my spots in Dubai. And I hope that you will benefit from my personal sense of work, fun, and leisure in a condensed trip to Middle East.
My Favorite Spots in Dubai
Despite staying in many hotels from the famous Burj al arab to the Adress Dubai Mall, each one having its respective ups and downs. I did not forget about passing by the Atlantis on a family trip with my daughters.
Location, great service, large resorts; all is there. From swimming with the dolphins, to being in a seven stars hotel with the most spectacular view. Or being close to all the popular and trendy places and great shopping areas.
But as with every thing in life, you have to make a choice related to your lifestyle! And when I come to Dubai, I want to be able to handle my work meeting, enjoy great restaurants and enjoy a pool on sunny days. And Palace Downtown seems to be a good spot for me.
When I do my hair, I go to Tony who works at Yas Salon in Souk al Bahar. He gives it volume and texture.
DIFC is my favorite place to finish my day with an early dinner, Zuma, Cipriani, La petite Maison… all my favorite Paris, London and NY restaurants are all in walking distance to each other.
And the clientele is very professional and business driven.
From Dubai, I often like to visit a new place in the area. Doha has the most fabulous Islamic Art Museum; a beautiful piece of art, from its architecture to its ancient collections. Morocco, Egypt, Iran and more cultural history stands all in the same museum.
My next destination will be Oman, I have heard that the Shangri la hotel stand between Mountains and sea… I cant wait to discover.
